[Bug 526260] Re: xorg lucid segmentation fault ati x700 card happen after upgrade

 

It looks like your /etc/X11/xorg.conf is invalid. Can you please try
removing it (or moving it out of the way) and rebooting?

  please look into this matter. it happen 3rd time . i daily update ubuntu
  lucid.
  
  init: ureadahead-other main process (653) terminated with status 4 and hang or no desktop. ubuntu splash is showing.
  today i tried following things
  i tried at alt+f1 terminal i tried
  $ sudo dhclient
  $ sudo apt-get update
  $ sudo apt-get upgrade
  
  $ startx segmentation fault at address 0xffffffe0
  
  caught signal 11 (segmentation fault)
  
- and hung
