I added post nr10 to this bug report by mistake... it was meant for  Bug #392825
The links solved my problem.. I run Ubuntu Karmic 9.10 on a x86, my tablet Aiptek14000U

I'm not able to use the scrollers, macrokeys adjust any settings(from
gui). But at least I can draw and it reads pressure levels
