Thanks for your report.

If it fails during an upgrade to lucid, could you please add the log
files from '/var/log/dist-upgrade/' to this bug report as separate
attachments? If it was during an upgrade of the driver then attach the
file /var/log/apt/term.log ?

Also add any .rej file and make.log in
/var/lib/dkms/nvidia-96/96.43.14/build/ ?
