Binary package hint: synaptic

inspired by thread here - http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/showthread.php?p=44505922#post44505922
also reported by Engadget -http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/19/synaptics-driver-enables-multitouch-gestures-on-older-trackpads/

WHQL driver version 15.0.9.0 of synaptics enables multitouch - including
two finger scrolling and , 3 finger press and 3 finger flick.

Note that this does not support all touchpads (reg. hardware versions),
but a lot of hardware have gotten abilities that they inherently had,
but had been disabled.

It would be great if this can be incorporated into the Linux synaptics
driver. People can try enabling these extra features and if their
touchpad does support it - it would be amazing !

Macbook features at a quarter of its cost

** Affects: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
