** Description changed:

  Hi all,

I'm a ubuntu fan for few years now.

I've installed lucid since day one upgrading from karmik and so on.

Today i have downloaded from the snapshot server Lucid Lynx Alpha 3
(10-03-2010) and the nice shinny installer, my laptop hangs.

i managed to install using nomodeset kern boot param.

I was used to have a bug were i would have to go through gdm twice
because the first time gdm hangs but with this new brew it takes twice
to three times to get to my session.

I have updated the gfx through jockey-gtk to nvidia-current but still
  the same issue.

i would love to have the dkms stuff going on with my nvidia 9200M G (
  reported by nvidia-settings as GeForce 9200M G)

I shall give you a description of the hardware:

  MSI VR705

  lspci output:

I have been following this new release from day 1 and using it for
production ( even if i have taken the bet believing that ubuntu will not
disappoint me as it used to do in the past)

Please let me know if you need further details, i do know that nouveau is still under heavy dev cycle but please do not make it
as if nvidia 8200M G are not existing as most of the new users are using this kind of ION embedded chipset including mac users.

  Best regards,

  Rafik
