I note that your logs indicate that you're using the binary nvidia
drivers.  Do they work with your TV?

If nouveau fails to properly set the mode, then what we really need is
the apport-collect data when the TV is plugged in and the nouveau
drivers are in use.  You should be able to collect these either by using
SSH to log in remotely, or by connecting the TV and a second monitor to
the computer so that you can see what's happening.
