It looks like upstream is not going to have a fix in time for Lucid.
What we can do instead is disable KMS for this chip - but we only want
to do that if disabling KMS actually makes the driver more stable!

If you are experiencing these GPU freezes, could you please try and see
if adding “i915.modeset=0” to your boot options after “quiet splash”.
