Bryce, I'd certainly welcome the blacklist.
I just installed 20050407 taking the defaults, i.e. KMS on.  It ran for 5 hours then crashed solid while trying to add comment to bug #541492.  I don't think Ubuntu had a chance to store anything useful but did run ubuntu-bug xorg after rebooting, see #558613.  

With "i915.modeset=0" hopefully these won't happen again....

Even with "i915.modeset=0" I am getting many

(firefox-bin:1520): Gdk-WARNING **: XID collision, trouble ahead

right now, however it has not stopped running yet.
