[Bug 558847] Re: Contact with more than one finger on touchpad produces crazy frenetic cursor

 

Marking as invalid. Please ignore; this turned out to be interference
from Windows.

More specifically: the problem was caused by the following sequence of
events: booting into Windows, disabling the touchpad via the above-
described method, and rebooting the system into Ubuntu.

The problem can be fixed by powering down the system.

So, this is probably not a bug, but is very strange behavior
nonetheless.
