I find all the i915 references a bit confusing, considering that the
graphics core is a GMA 4500MHD (mobile version of the GMA X4500). The
GMA 4500 is architecturally completely different than the i915 and the
differences in terms of features are significant as well. I was under
the impression that there was a separate G4x module...

Is this a bug? Or just an historical artifact?

Regardless, I'll try out the Lucid beta-2 that came out yesterday....

Alright... The issue with the flickering appears to be resolved in Lucid
beta-2!
