[Bug 559883] Re: lucid beta-2 X crashes with dual head configuration when opengl is enabled with intel GM945
** Description changed:
Binary package hint: xorg
- I am using a intel GM945 based desktop system (mb: ibase 899) with two dvi outputs and two Samsung 204B LCDs (no others outouts are used). After installation and updating the system (kubuntu 10.04 beta-2) it starts with both displays in clone mode. After enabling dual head functions via xrandr or the systemsettings gui X crashes and restarts automaticly.
- A workaround is to use xrender istead of opengl (changed in systemsettings). Dual head configuration is workig now, but very slow.
- For keepeing the dualhead setup and enabling it system wide I use a small xorg.conf (see folling comment and attachement).
- Testing kubuntu 10.04 beta-1 produced the same error with a segmentation fault in xorg.log.
