Yes, generating .pot during build should resolve such issues for the
long term. David, thanks for the concrete solution suggestion.

But, just an FYI, as of now, there are 2 .pot files Approved for import
(as seen using David's link above): the first one w/ 728 strings, and
the 2nd one w/ 681 strings (the latter judging by 681 appears to be the
same as what's in LP right now). It appears to me the 2nd one will take
precedence, which would mean that LP still wouldn't have and use the new
.pot file). The only reason that matters is the deadline of the 15th, by
which ideally everybody would make translation updates needed. Hopefully
it will work out...
