[Bug 565346] [NEW] freeze
You have been subscribed to a public bug:
Description: Ubuntu lucid (development branch)
Release: 10.04
The system freezes for no apparent reason in uneven intervals. At first
the mouse stops moving, and a second later the screen turn either
completely white, or gets jittery. I cannot switch to another tty, and
the Caps Lock LED doesn't flash when I press the button. The only
solution is a hard reboot.
It appears that after it happens, it more often than not happens again
within 10 minutes after reboot. This can indicate that some hardware
gets overheated. However it happens also when the computer isn't hot at
all. Also, Windows 7 appears to work fine, so I don't think it is a
hardware issue.
I have included logs for the latest crash. It happened this morning and
I have include everything with the current date. The lines in the logs
at around 14:00 is the next reboot.
** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
