The changes between the two cursors to me are random, but consistent. In
the browser it's white, but in the preferences window of the browser
it's blue.  But then when I select "When firefox starts" and the dropbox
appears, in the dropbox it's white again.After hovering over the
dropbox, it gets white and stays white, except in the title bar of the
preferences window.

"white" refers to the pointer I have selected, "blue" refers to the
"wrong" pointer.

It would actually be nice to have a lefty pointer in the default setup,
but that's another matter.
