There is a proper way to report performance issues against Ubuntu but
I'm afraid you're not doing it.

As a general rule, we do not do performance optimization work in Ubuntu,
and thus do not accept generic "performance is bad" reports without some
solid analysis and details.  In general, when people quote glxgears it
simply serves to indicate that they do NOT understand how to report
performance bugs; this has been abused SO MUCH that we no longer accept
bug reports where glxgears are being quoted.
