- i915.modeset=1 fixes KMS, kernel log clean, no problems

- X.org intel driver automatically disables DRI, (WW) me about i845/855
hardware. How do I persuade him to play it risky? (Quite a lot of DRI
things were stable in karmic.)

- plymouth seems to not get through, no visible output but cursor, just
init telling me in daemon log that plymouth-stop pre-start process
terminated with status 1. Will file another report against that.
