Upstream has several questions, can you please subscribe to the upstream
bug and provide answers there, so we can help get this bug moving
towards a solution?

"When does this happen?  Only during the bios splash?  Only after the drm loads?
 Also, are the stripes temporary?  I.e., do you eventually get a usable
desktop?"
