Did as asked but this is what I got:

derek@derek-desktop:~$ apport-collect BUGNUMBER
Usage: apport-collect <report number>

apport-collect: error: You need to specify a report number to update

> I did a clean install of Ubuntu 10.04 release candidate from a CD image. Install worked fine but now it will not boot Ubuntu. All I got was a blank screen that kept attempting to come up with an image. I kept getting repeat messages that my monitor is going to sleep (standby mode). I asked a friend who is in the Ubuntu community if he could help me. He sent me a link to the alternate CD image site. I tried downloading and installing but got the same result. Then I tried his other suggestion, which was to boot the live CD, get information from terminal using the "lspci" command, copy the information and submit a bug report. When I went to make the bug report, another problem occurred. I clicked on the log in / register link and then I was disconnected from the wireless network. I waited for it to reconnect online, instead got a message asking me for the network passcode, which was filled correctly to begin with. I just hit enter to try again and it gave me the same message. Rebooted live CD, went through the steps with terminal but could not get back online no matter how many times I tried to get back on.
