For what it's worth, I can verify that the bug is associated with the
Intel integrated graphics controller (Intel Corporation
82845G/GL[Brookdale-G]/GE Chipset Integrated Graphics Device).  After
reporting the bug, I scavenged a video card from a spare machine and
installed it in the GX260 that was crashing/freezing.  All has been well
since then.
