Here is the combinations I have tried (with options i915 modeset=1 &
with options i915 modeset=0 both tested)

and all failed after a while (from 5 mins to 2 hours):

--With Lucid RC install
--With xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.9.1-3-ubuntu4
--With xserver-xorg-video-intel_2.8.0-27-g926c7e7+lucid_i386.deb as supplied in #76
--With xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.9.1-3-ubuntu5
