Ah nevermind, I see the problem. In your old xorg.conf you had
Modulepath      "/usr/lib/xorg/modules" so the nvidia libglx thats in
/usr/lib/xorg/extra-modules never got loaded. It was just an issue with
your old xorg.conf.
