I think a have the same problem.
Basically the Live CD hangs - just a blank screen.
I'm using the released version of lynx 10.04.

I have attached my m$ windows system info.
I don't know how to get into the text mode (sorry :-)
I have an Intel core i7 and an ATI Radeon HD 5700 graphic card.
