[Bug 554904] Re: [i945G] Ubuntu 10.4 fails to boot into Xorg
I'm not quite sure if I've got the same problem here: Lucid system boot
seems to freeze while boot splash keeps on inking the dots on the
screen. Switching to terminal output (pressing ESC) shows "Checking
battery state..." as the last output...
...BUT: TTYs are already there, and a login is possible. After login a
"sudo /usr/sbin/gdm restart" successfully brings up the GDM, and life
goes on...
