There is already a bug for karmic:
477972 	[i855] Karmic / i855GM / Fujistu Siemens Amilo M7400 : Freeze shortly after X startup on Intel i85

and Lucid:
511001 	[i855] Lucid Freeze shortly after X startup (needs KMS blacklist?) 

and a general MASTER bug:
541511  	 MASTER: [i855] GPU lockup (apport-crash)

This bug is both for Karmic and Lucid, so it could probably be closed as
duplicate to 541511.
