I have the same problem. Mine is dell inspiron 500m, when I close the
lid, the screen black out, with pointer fixed. The only way to recover
is to press the power button for a few seconds. I am using X-Ubuntu, but
the same problem happened to Ubuntu 9.0 as well. I am new to Ubuntu,
just wondering if there is an easy to way to fix this problem. Thank
you!
