Well, 9.10 will still be supported for another 12 months, so feel free
to downgrade.  I'm sure one of the xorg team will eventually stop by and
offer some sage advice.  I'm sure your efforts will eventually help make
ubuntu better.  In the meantime keep an eye on this bug report for
updates.  You may be able to help further still!
