[Bug 580899] Re: cant Enable Effects in 10.04. (Can in older ver) Intel chip Pavilion ze4900

you may say invaild because i had to use vesa couldnt gen a report
unless i used it. but no the less thanks for posting that bug link. it
put me in a path where i fixed it.

i made this changes then wa la effects enabled.

I did what it said here http://ubuntu-
tutorials.com/2010/05/06/ubuntu-10-04-lucid-blank-screen-at-startup-
workaround/

# took this line: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=”quiet splash”
# Replace with: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=”quiet splash <option>”

in the grub file. then updated it. and then i changed the xorg.conf from
vesa to intel. rebooted. now works like charm. i think it should stay on
fixed for those that might find this helpful instead of invalid. but
thats just what i think.

** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu)
       Status: Invalid => Fix Committed
