[Bug 541492] Re: MASTER: [i845] GPU lockup (apport-crash) (Should KMS be blacklisted?)

Hey all,

I know I am late joining in this bug but I have been following closely.
Running Ubuntu 10.04.

Using workaround G from hforzman above. System runs a lot longer but
now instead of the horizontal bars/zebra lockup... I get a black screen
freeze.

Hardware:

0:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation
82845G/GL[Brookdale-G]/GE Chipset Integrated Graphics Device (rev 01)

But interestingly a little different.

I am subscribed now to the bug, and will work with all of you to help
test on my end.

Let me know what I can do --- even though I am not the most experienced.

I am going to try Brian Rogers' fix and see what happens.
