I built binutils from TOT CVS and it links without errors.

binutils ltversion.m4
m4_define([LT_PACKAGE_VERSION], [2.2.7a])
m4_define([LT_PACKAGE_REVISION], [1.3134])

Not exactly sure on what version of binutils it was fixed.
