[Bug 480220] Re: [i945] [i945][karmic] S-Video: PAL output is garbled
Here may be some news:

With the kernel Version 2.6.34.966 on
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/drm-next/current/
the correct modi of TV-standard are delivered! This were not with the
older kernels and is new for me!
But my problem isn't solved, yet:
The command
xrandr --output TV1 --mode PAL_B
delivers following:
xrandr: cannot find mode PAL_B
further: now i get four (4!!) devices! 2 VGA and 2 TV-out!
