[Bug 581571] Re: [CLE266] Via Epia M6000 installs, but reboots when login attempted
I did as you asked. (took me a while to figure out that "Xorg
-configure" needed a sudo and that it put the new xorg.conf.new in my
home directory).
Anyway, with the new xorg.conf, the system no longer reboots when I
attempt to do a graphical login, instead it hangs with a dead keyboard
and no mouse pointer (apparently while trying to draw the top panel).
I added the \tOption "AIGLX" "false" line to the xorg.conf file, and now I can log in.
I am currently running an update on the system (110 packages to download & update). It appears that the old scrolling problem still exists, but I will test that more thoroughly when the update completes.
