[Bug 566967] Re: Gnome windows have no buttons (close, minimize, maximize) after upgrade to Lucid Lynx beta 2

 

This bug has occured to me on various other machines, after upgrade from
9.10 to 10.04. It's very annoying, please fix it ASAP.

I've found out that the described behaviour can be corrected by going to
System -> Preferences -> Appearance and, in Visual Effects tab, switch
from ”None” to ”Normal”.

However, after logging out, the last setting won't be retained, so I
suspect it's related to bug #577806 too
