[Bug 538648] Re: [Intel GM45] Irregular sync flashes on 8086:2a42 (Needs i915.powersave quirk)
I have the exact same symptoms as comment #72 on an HP dv4 laptop

Two things I've observed:
- The flickering NEVER happens (on either screen) if I have my external
screen plugged in.
- It seems to get much worse with the terminal open and on top.
the i915.powersave=0 thing didn't work for me.
