I'm seeing VT_WAITACTIVE failed: Interrupted system call on a macbook
4,1 with kubuntu lucid.

When I then log into the box via ssh I see /sbin/getty running on ttys 1-6 and
/usr/bin/X :0 -br -once -config /etc/X11/xorg.conf.failsafe -logfile /var/log/Xorg.failsafe.log

chvt 1 (or chvt any-other-vt) just hangs.

Not sure where to look next.
