I have installed Lucid on the system and the display freezes suddenly in 
the middle of a mouse or keyboard movement. I have posted the relevant 
information on the launchpad site, as suggested by you.

I think the problem is due to acceleration because:

1. Once when the system froze, I was in the middle of a very rapid 
scroll within firefox using the PgUp key on the keypad

2. the other time it was when I was rapidly moving the mouse.
