Pretty sure I'm also getting this problem.

[mi] EQ overflowing. The server is probably stuck in an infinite loop.

Usage:

This has happened twice now in the last three days, but I've never seen
it before now. I'm running a dual-monitor setup on a Dell Latitude
E6400, with separate X screens (instead of XRandR or Xinerama). I
switch between the screens with a simple X program that I wrote to
create a small window on the target screen, warp the pointer, then close
the display. I switch screens pretty frequently and without thinking
about it, so this program may have triggered the problem both times.

Symptoms:

The mouse pointer goes to the junction of the screens (left of right
screen/right of left screen) and flickers rapidly. It can be moved a
little with the mouse, but only ~1/5 screen from it's new favorite
place, and after any deflection it always returns to the junction. The
keyboards (both external and built-in) seem to be completely locked out,
because nothing responds to key-strokes, including any attempts to get a
virtual terminal (CTRL + ALT + F[1-7]). I have not attempted to kill
the X server with CTRL + ALT + BACKSPACE.

I can log in from another machine (SSH), and, in line with the earlier
comments, Xorg is using an entire core. It ignores a SIGTERM, but
SIGKILL works and gets me back to the GDM login.

Please feel free to contact me if you need any more details.
