[Bug 598672] [NEW] Opening mouse control panel causes Ubuntu to log out
You have been subscribed to a public bug:
When I open the mouse control panel, Ubuntu logs out. If I log in with
the wrong password, this is reported to me. If I log in with the
correct password, the computer begins to log in, but immediately logs
out again. It is necessary to restart the computer.
This is on a Lenovo S10-3t touchscreen netbook in ubuntu 10.04 netbook
remix.
I have installed the touch screen using the script located at http://www.zshare.net/download/75040081c56f7ba7/
This script is called hidtouch_10.04 I do not know who created the script or exactly what it does, but it did make the touch screen work. It seems to be installing a package called netbook-launcher-2.1.12 and patching the source.
I did not try opening the control panel before installing the script. I
do not know whether this bug is purely the fault of the script or if it
is a faulty interaction between the script and Ubuntu or if it is a bug
that predated the script (although I doubt that since it has not been
reported).
** Affects: xorg-server (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
