Message #79798
[Bug 531069] Re: Display error when returning from sleep after docking
I've run the following sequence 20 times on a T61:
1) start laptop with closed lid in docking station
2) login
3) remove laptop from docking station via the undock button
4) open laptop lid, login via screensaver
5) close laptop lid, suspend
6) place laptop in docking station and resume via docking station power button
The external display was found correctly 18 times, it was connected via DVI.
2 times a black screen was displayed. Using the ctrl-alt-f1, ctrl-alt-f7/f8 work around succeeded all the time in bringing back the screensaver login screen. Note that the display was in cloned mode after the resume in step 6). Native mode for the external display would have been nicer.
I try to get hold of a x61 and run a similar series.
