[Bug 575982] Re: X crashes screen goes between blank and black and white straps. display

 

Can confirm difficulties.  Thought they were associated with gnome-
screensaver and uninstalled it, but tstill have the issue.  It appears
to be mostly screensaver timer associated (though I have no screensaver
software at the moment), though not entirely--it crashed on me just now
trying to file this bug--shutdown, restart, get back in here.  The
screen cycles in and out of powersave with vertical white bars in the
upper half when the screen is on.  I'll try to finish this before it
crashes again.  let me know what else you need from me to help peg this
down.  system is virtually unusable in current state.
