[Bug 554296] Re: Fonts "chipped" with subpixel hinting enabled on NV46 (G72M Quadro NVS 110M, GeForce Go 7300)

 

I have Geforce 7300 on Ubuntu 10.04 and this bug affects me. Firefox and
Kmail (with small fonts) are the worst. But it affects some ubuntu
dialog boxes too. I's and l's are the worst, but c r and rm characters
can be unreadable at times. It seems to be a random effect though. See
attached examples. It works fine with the nVidia proprietary driver.
