[Bug 396678] [NEW] X does not forward correctly from Solaris10 to Ubuntu

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

When attempting to display a remote X application running on Solaris 10
on a ubuntu 8.10 machine, the following error is encountered, and the X
is not displayed, for any application.

ssh -X to the same solaris machine does work with every other linux
distro I have tried, and also with putty. In addition, it is possible to
ssh -X from the same ubuntu machine to other linux machines, so there
does not appear to be a configuration issue.

ssh -Y does not work either

The program 'gedit' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)'.
(Details: serial 11 error_code 3 request_code 154 minor_code 2)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
