Ok. It seems that you haven't really installed the 2.6.35 kernel. To install it, you should do the following:
- get the 2.6.35 kernel sources at http://kernel.org/ ,
- then follow the instructions given on http://www.howtoforge.com/kernel_compilation_ubuntu
