Message #84179
Latest nVidia drivers and packages
Hi all,
Thanks for all the great packages available from your ppa.
I have a question though: I'm running Ubuntu 10.04, I've installed the
latest drivers (256.44) but I got the following packages:
nvidia-173-modaliases, 173.14.27-0ubuntu1
nvidia-96-modaliases, 96.43.18-0ubuntu1
nvidia-common, 0.2.23
nvidia-current, 256.44-0ubuntu0sarvatt~lucid
nvidia-current-modaliases, 256.44-0ubuntu0sarvatt~lucid
nvidia-settings, 256.44-0ubuntu0sarvatt~lucid
I can see from the nVidia drivers screen that I'm running 256.44 but what
should I do with above nvidia-173/96-modaliases? Remove them?
I still have even:
xserver-xorg-video-nouveau, 1:0.0.15+git20100219+9b4118d-0ubuntu5
xserver-xorg-video-nv, 1:2.1.15-1ubuntu3
Should I remove those as well?
Thanks again,
Regards,
