[Bug 412713] [NEW] windowing system not responding properly to cursor or keyboard
You have been subscribed to a public bug:
I am running Jaunty, after having run Karmic. Two days ago, I started
having a problem with Karmic where I could not switch between windows,
and my cursor would not work on menus. I could only work on the window
I was currently on, and then only after clicking the mouse cursor
several times or using alt + key combinations. Now, with my switch back
to Jaunty, I am having this problem with Jaunty for the very first time
since it was in alpha. Is there an old configuration file I need to get
rid of? It got so bad in Karmic that Firefox 3.5 would not respond at
all.
Update Manager does not work because I get a message that the computer
cannot get a lock on the cursor. If I am on a window as I am now, the
Applications and other menus do not respond. Please help me.
** Affects: xserver-xorg-input-keyboard (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: Incomplete
