[Bug 614178] [NEW] Compaq nc 6220: screen flickering after lid closed. The version 10.04 of Ubuntu is installed on my Compaq nc6220. When the laptop is closed and re-opened, it stops running properly. Almost every time the keyboard is used, the screen starts flashing (switching on and off), especially when a key is pressed. Then it works properly for half a minute and then again, it starts flashing. This very annoying bug was also present with Ubuntu version 9. The option "When laptop lid is closed" is set to "Blank screen"

Compaq nc 6220: screen flickering after lid closed.
The version 10.04 of Ubuntu is installed on my Compaq nc6220.
Everything is fine, except for the present bug.
When the laptop lid is closed and re-opened, the bug appears.
Almost every time the keyboard is used,
the screen starts flashing (switching on and off) when a key is pressed.
Then it can work properly for half a minute and then again, it starts flashing.
The only solution to stop flickering is to restart Ubuntu.
This very annoying bug was also present with Ubuntu version 9.
The option "When laptop lid is closed" is set to "Blank screen"
Thanks for your help.
