[Bug 553809] [NEW] System goes to a crawl when enabling desktop effects (Intel 8xx/9xx driver), this only after latest update.

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Desktop effects were working just fine, until most recent update. Now
system comes to a crawl and takes a long time just to disable them.
Once disabled system is fully responsive again. Don't know if this is
latest update to linux kernel, xorg or the intel driver itsself.
