[Bug 614993] Re: 10.04 -> 10.10 upgrade fails: pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks: xserver-xorg-video-v4l demoted to universe
I also just tried the update to maverick again (after verifying that
packages based on the xorg-server version above were listed in
http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/maverick/main/binary-i386/Packages.bz2
), and got the same error. A diff of the dist-upgrade/apt.log and one
from last week shows no change in any xorg-video or xorg-server lines.
I've attached my /var/lib/dpkg/status file. As mentioned above, this
system has run through multiple [pre-]release updates over the past
couple years.
