[Bug 598322] Re: Maverick ati xorg freeze booting with external monitor
Upgraded to Kubuntu 10.10 Beta from Kubuntu 10.04, on reboot I see the
UBUNTU 10.10 and the dots . . . . for about half a second, them I'm put
to a semi-half-purple screen and it just stops there. I use the Magic
Keys REISUB and reboot ok. I have an ATI HD Radeon 4830.
Doing the above mentioned radeon.modeset=0 works. I'm posting from my
Kubuntu session now.
So, I guess I'm just another "Me too!" and if there's anything I can
help provide to help get this fixed, I'm just and end user but I can try
a few things and report back or give more info.
