Hi Paul,

Your issue is most likely not related to this particular bug (reported
in 2007). Could you please open your own bug, providing information for
developers to identify your issue and allow you to obtain resolution
greater than 1024x768. Reporting a bug can be done easily:

1) Press Alt-F2
2) Type in 'ubuntu-bug xorg' and press enter
3) Send collected information
4) Complete bug description
5) Submit
