[Bug 573101] Re: No video signal after "Log out" in gnome when multiple users

I got 195 when I switched the driver from 173 to 'latest version' in the hardware driver dialogue, (under the Administration menu) doing that, downloaded and installed the driver itself, you then press Activate, then restart your computer.
You can then check the version by opening the terminal and typing 'nvidia-settings'.  I does not appear as 195 in the drivers dialogue, it just shows as 'latest version' (why they couldn't add the version number here is beyond me).

There is no need to look into the ubuntu repos, I can only assume its
downloaded from a Nvidia repo, not Ubuntu's? (I'm only guessing here, as
like you say, its not in the Ubuntu ones).
